The first broadcast of He-Man

He-Man is the central hero of the action figure series Masters of the Universe and one of the greatest heroes of our childhood. He-Man was more than just a simple character. He was cool, equipped with the latest technology, and fought for the good. If you were looking for a strong male role model in the 80s, you found everything your heart desires in He-Man.

To be so powerful and strong, Prince Adam transforms into the unbeatable He-Man. He raises his magic sword and speaks the words we will never forget in our whole life:

By the power of Grayskull – I have the power!

Once he has uttered these words, a simple prince becomes an invincible superhero. Together with the Heroic Warriors, i.e. The Masters of the Universe, he fights evil. Skeletor and the Evil Warriors want to destroy all the good in the world and are therefore fought by He-Man and Co. 

The series takes place on the fantastic planet Eternia - we still wish we could travel there... Because on Eternia there is magic and supernatural things happen. The inhabitants have access to futuristic technologies such as laser weapons and all kinds of flying machines. What we would have given to have such technologies back then.

Our 5 favorite episodes of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe

He-Man is one of the series that most influenced our childhood. Even today we remember the bitter fights between the meanies around Skeletor and He-Man and the good guys. That's why we have to introduce our favorite episodes to you - maybe you will have some memories of them...

• 1st place: "The Problem With Power" is simply the best episode of the whole series! He-Man believes to have killed a resident of Eternia. He turns into Adam and throws his sword into the bottomless pit. Our breath is stunned - would he never be He-Man again? Of course, we will not reveal the resolution! (Season 2, Episode 45, The Problem with Power)
• 2nd place: In the eighties, children's series still focused on cohesion and great characters. No other episode than "A friend is needed" could reflect this better. Teela's friend Ilena would also like to be a daredevil and is manipulated by an evil magician. Of course, this does not remain without consequences. A great episode, which offers many laughs! (Season 1, Episode 10, A Friend in Need)
• 3rd place: In the episode "Battle Cat" we learn (who would have thought) how the fearful cat Cringer became the brave Battle Cat. This episode lives from the common moments of Adam and Cringer. Our highlight is also how Cringer turns into Battle Cat! (Season 2, Episode 27, Battle Cat)
• Place 4: "Into the Abyss" is an extraordinary episode. Because we are not mainly dealing with He-Man, but with Prince Adam. He and Teela are on their way outside the castle when Teela falls into a steep abyss. A strong episode with strong characters! (Season 2, Episode 18, Into the Abyss)
• Place 5:

  In the episode "Origin of the Sorceress" we finally learn more about the powerful Sorceress. The evil sorcerer Morgod has returned from his banishment and has nothing good in mind even after his return. When he attacks Eternia, He-Man and the Sorceress defy him. We learn that she was originally a normal woman who became the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull after an attack by Morgod. It's nice that the audience has learned more about this powerful sorceress.
