Everything sucks day
Not only passionate pessimists should be happy about this news: yes, it really exists, the "Everything sucks" day! On April 15, it's officially allowed and even encouraged to think everything, but really everything sucks.
Whether it's your job, the weather, or the food in the cafeteria: somehow there's a little (or a little more) potential for optimization everywhere, right?
Another piece of good news: it's not about looking around for solutions. No! In the first step, we think everything sucks that day and feel good about it. Soothing, right? Grumbling without having to provide a remedy!
What can you think sucks?
Does everything have two sides? On every rainy day, you can also find positive aspects? No! Sometimes it does your own soul good to rant, to feel uncomfortable with the current situation, and let out exactly that!
Life is not a pony farm! Therefore, it would be wrong to talk yourself into something that may not be worth it. Those who manage to be honest with themselves here benefit from an important piece of wisdom from our grandmothers, namely: "A thunderstorm clears the air!".
But be careful: some things, such as the opinion of the boss or the like, should perhaps still be found "crappy" inside. Otherwise, the "everything sucks" day has more far-reaching consequences than it should have.
Why the perfect world would be boring
Last but not least, it should, of course, be mentioned that it would also be wrong to behave like the famous elephant in the china store on "Everything sucks" day. After all, we still want to be able to look our fellow human beings in the eye the day after, on April 16.
But: the "Everything sucks" day proves in an impressive way that perfectionism may well be desirable for a certain period of time, but in the long run it can also be boring.
Who wants to live in a world where they can't get excited about anything? Where would we end up if there was nothing left to be shitty about?
In short: classic "disruptive factors", such as traffic jams on the highway, the neighbor who is too loud, overtime, and the burnt pizza in the oven, suck but ensure that we don't get too comfortable and that one day is different from the next. If everything were perfect, we certainly wouldn't appreciate the little wonders of everyday life anymore... and that's exactly why it's even more worthwhile to enjoy the "everything sucks" day with all its facets.
