Birthday of Harrison Ford
Today we say happy birthday, Harrison Ford! Hard to believe, but today is his 78th birthday. Man o man, do we have a lot of childhood memories of him. Whether as Han Solo or as Indiana Jones - Harrison is one of the coolest actors ever. No one can hold a candle to him!
What many don't know: He was discovered by none other than George Lucas himself. George, if we weren't already in awe of you, this is why we'd do it. Harrison has given us so many funny, exciting and saucy moments that we would like to celebrate his special day today.

What you don't know about Harrison Ford
Today we celebrate Harrison for his great roles, his fantastic jokes and his mega cool manner. Even as a big Harrison fan there are still some things you probably don't know about him.
1. First, his earrings: Harrison has pierced ears in both. At lunch with his best friends, he discovered that he had the same watch and mobile phone as his friends. The only difference: his friends had pierced ears. So without further ado he drove to the nearest jewellery shop and had his ears pierced. He left the following message for the employee: "For Tavora. You pierced my ears. Harrison Ford." Cool move.
2. He is a master carpenter: Before his career in the film business began, Harrison worked as a carpenter and even became a master carpenter. I'm sure that was nice too, but we like him better on screen!
3. He came to the set drunk: During the shooting of Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back the Rolling Stones came to visit. ...the night before Carrie Fisher and Harrison were to play the main scenes. So what did they do? Went out with the Rolling Stones to celebrate and showed up on set completely drunk. What a rock star!
4. He is the eponym for 2 insect species: In fact, Harrison Ford is the eponym for 2 insect species because of his commitment to the environment. Calponia harrisonfordi is a spider - Pheidole harrisonfordi is an ant species. Who can claim that insects are named after you? Harrison's got a point.
5. He's in E.T: But it was cut because the movie had to be shortened. Originally he plays a school principal. But he was not relevant for the story and was cut out. What a pity, we would have liked to see Harrison in another role.
